The romance was unconvincing, the characters were flat and undeveloped, the mystery was nonexistent, and the strange way every sentence sidestepped anti-Semitism made me extremely uncomfortable.

Jacobson had a few beautiful moments of clarity that I couldn't help but highlight, so I have to give it two stars, but I can't think of a single person I would recommend this to.
