This new to me author wrote a very fun and dynamic romance novel. Fisher managed to discuss so much in the novel, too: race, classism, marriage flaws, self-deprivation, sibling rivalry, child abuse…whew. And all of it was handled with care and respect. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series and I even hope that Markus finds love, even if we only get a novella.
