So many thoughts! This is a romance I can get behind, because it’s written to tell readers of a major life lesson. Without spoilers, I recommend everyone read this book in order to better understand, as Hoover explains in her afterwords, why an abused person stays in the relationship. (TW: abuse, rape) I wanted to highlight so many sentences in this book because what Hoover wrote from her main character’s perspective, is so true! All the thoughts and emotions the main character felt is exactly what goes through your head when being in an abusive situation. A must read, I think, for everyone!
