The Most Fun We Ever Had by Claire Lombardo
4.0

I was initially very intimidated by this book, first by how big it is and then by how many characters there are in the story! However, trust me, once you get a handle on who's who, you will be transported into the story. I love a good family drama, in literature at least, and this did not disappoint.

I loved reading about the Sorenson family and all of their drama. This book made me laugh but also tugged at my heartstrings in a way that a book hasn't for awhile. Most of the characters are pretty unlikeable, but that made the book even more interesting for me. Lombardo has a talent for writing well-fleshed-out characters whose choices make sense (even if they are also infuriating). And, her writing in general is beautiful, making this an enjoyable read.

I find the comparisons with books like Little Fires Everywhere appropriate, and I highly recommend the book.
