Going into this story I didn’t realize so much of it was fact.
I knew Martha Dodd was a real person, having read about her family previously in non-fiction books, but I did not know that Greta Kuckhoff and Mildred Harnack were real women and part of the true German resistance until the end of the book. Knowing that the things they did and the things they went through really happened makes this story so much more meaningful. These women are truly people to be admired.
I highly recommend reading this if you enjoy learning more about WWII.
