This is a short novella by Rebekah Witherspoon, it's the firsT thing I've read by them. A Walk in The Park is an adorable love story about two people who accidently get promised the same dog from a shelter.  To solve the problem they end up devising a plan to co-parent the dog, but that leads to some interesting things happening. I listened to this on audiobook and it didn't take long to finish at all. I definitely recommend.
