Too Tempting is the first book in the new adult contemporary romance series, called the Lewis Cousin's series, by Bethany Lopez. I liked this book, but it didn't rock my world or anything crazy like that. It was a quick contemporary romance read. To be honest the plot of this one just didn't click for me, and ultimately that was why I couldn't enjoy this story more. I would be interested to see Gabe's cousin's story, but the premise of Gabe's story didn't really grab me. Overall, it was a decent read, but I didn't love it.
Too Tempting follows Gabe and Zoey, who meet at a summer camp and start a relationship. But almost immediately a big secret from Zoey's sister's past links all of them together in a way that I just wasn't digging. From that point on, my opinion was a little tainted. It just seemed too far fetched, and the story moved a little too quickly for me to completely fall in love. But I did like Gabe and Zoey and I enjoyed their story. I just couldn't imagine something like this happening in real life.Gabe is a famous football player, but he fallin in love with an average girl within a matter of weeks at a summer camp where he is a sports coach. Then at the end of camp, Zoey's sister shows and up and drops the bombshell that not only did she have a one night stand with Gabe years ago, but that he has a secret child with her that she never told anyone about. Yea, it just wasn't for me. The romance was decent, but the plot line was a killer for me.
But if you think the plotline sounds like your cup of tea, you should give this book a try. it has a crazy high rating on goodreads (4.27) so there are plenty of people who have loved this one. It wasn't for me, but that doesn't mean it won't be for you.
