The Book of Life
by Deborah Harkness
This book did a decent job of summarizing all of the dangling plot lines but there were too many characters by the end to leave the reader satisfied with the simple ending, and the lack of information given about the contents of the Book of Life was incredibly frustrating. The perspective changes from first to third were jarring. This was an enjoyable conclusion to the trilogy, but lacked the depth and creativity that were promised in the beginning of the tale.
