Liked this a lot more than I thought I would! The Austen references were everythingggg ππΌππΌππΌ a man who willingly watches P&P adaptations and prefers the 2005 version? SIGN ME UP π«’ the spice was also very good. I wasnβt as attached to the characters as I would like to be, like, they didnβt really give me the butterflies in my stomach that I like to get from romance novels. But there were still a lot of cute scenes. Sometimes they were toothrottingly cute in a good way and sometimes less so. Like, I can handle cute, but even I have a level where I can no longer suspend disbelief π¬π
I realised Iβve been using the feeling of butterflies Iβm my stomach, you know, the tingly feeling romance novels can give you, to describe how I feel about romance books SO MUCH lately that I might just have to introduce a new rating system for myself?
Here we go:
π¦π¦π¦ (so like 3 βοΈ on the butterfly scale π)
