Liked this a lot more than I thought I would! The Austen references were everythingggg πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ a man who willingly watches P&P adaptations and prefers the 2005 version? SIGN ME UP 🫒 the spice was also very good. I wasn’t as attached to the characters as I would like to be, like, they didn’t really give me the butterflies in my stomach that I like to get from romance novels. But there were still a lot of cute scenes. Sometimes they were toothrottingly cute in a good way and sometimes less so. Like, I can handle cute, but even I have a level where I can no longer suspend disbelief πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚

I realised I’ve been using the feeling of butterflies I’m my stomach, you know, the tingly feeling romance novels can give you, to describe how I feel about romance books SO MUCH lately that I might just have to introduce a new rating system for myself?
