I went into this book, excited from the end of The Titan's Curse, but this one sort of fell flat for me. I still liked it because I love these characters, but this story was a bit confusing and hard to follow. It might have been better if I read instead of listened to it. It felt repetitive as the book went on, but the cliff hanger at the end had me ready for The Last Olympian. What I did enjoy about this book was we start to see it get a little more serious than its predecessors as the heroes are growing up and Percy getting closer to his predicted fate.
