Six of Crows
by Leigh Bardugo
“We are all someone's monster.”
I was putting off from reading this book and I so sorry I did! This is not just another hyped up YA book. As I said previously said I was SHOOK while reading this. Six of Crows will probably go down as one of my favorites of 2017; Bardugo took her author game to the next level! The writing started off a bit slow but when it took off, it was off. The last 100 pages were a whirlwind.
Six of Crows has a diverse cast & an intricate plot. What I most admire about Six of Crows is how connected you feel to all SIX characters, every single one is defined and well built. The backstories were well done and I liked the transitions for present day to past.
The characters are just beautiful; we have disabilities, mental illness, victims of abuse as well as some other traits among them. They challenge each other and grow together. Perhaps what I love most about each of them is that while they're not anti-heroes they aren't heroes either; the morally ambiguousness of all of them can bring you closer to each one. (My favorites was Inej and then Kaz)
I really have no gripes with this book. I can't wait to pick up [book:Crooked Kingdom|22299763]!
