As I ease myself back into reading lots of young adult novels, I chose this graphic novel to start. It's a cute story about a boy named Ari, who wants to move to the city to pursue music with his band. His parents want him to stay and help with the bakery. Ari thinks if he finds someone to take his place he can go. He finds Hector, who loves baking. The two become close while Hector is training, but will Ari accept that perhaps his dream has changed?

I really liked the color palette in this book, which uses blues, blacks and whites to convey the story. They definitely contribute to the beachy feel. I definitely liked Hector better than Ari as a character, but Ari seems a bit younger and sheltered than Hector. The romance in the story is fairly subtle, but I enjoyed it. I'm not sure I 100% agreed with the ending myself, but overall, it's a cute, light read.
