Loved By You is a second chance contemporary romance that gives you all the feels. The themes are heavy and could be painful, but these subjects need to be discussed, and i want to listen.

I really liked Nessa. She was really giving it her all, trying to meet everyone else's expectations. She didn't get a chance to find herself or live for herself.
Xavier was a charmer from the start, but he couldn't find the best way forward.
The journey they took together after meeting again was wonderful.
I absolutely loved that both main characters were seeing therapists throughout the story.
"Growth isn't linear, Vanessa. It's messy, and sometimes, it's ugly as hell. But it's still progress."

While this book covers topics that i can relate to, like family trauma and mental health, there were others that I couldn't really relate to because it isn't something I've experienced. Don't get me wrong, I have heard of gentrification, but only in passing. What I love about reading books by authors who have a different lived experience than me is that I can learn, my eyes are opened that little bit more and all of a sudden im thinking about things that I wasn't before.

I adored Nessa's evolving relationship with her mum. I found something incredibly healing in the way they grew to understand each other.

I just know we are going to get follow-up stories for the friend group, and i can't wait. Im excited to see how all these wonderful characters evolve. I can't wait until Wesley stands up to his dad.

All in all, it's a really solid, enjoyable read.

There were some continuity errors throughout, but not to bad, just a little jarring when they pop up.
