I started a challenge a few months back to listen to some of the classic childrenβs stories that I had never read as a kid as my bedtime audiobook of choice.
After seeing way too many TikTok edits of Anne with an E, I began listening to ππ―π―π¦ π°π§ ππ³π¦π¦π― ππ’π£ππ¦π΄.
Itβs so good.
Yes itβs still a childrenβs story, so yes itβs endowed with morals and lessons learned throughout, but itβs not always Anne (the child) who is learning them which I find refreshing. Adults make mistakes too, and sometimes have to apologize to children. Revolutionary.
By the end this book had me laughing and crying in equal measure. Iβve already started listening to ππ―π―π¦ π°π§ ππ·π°π―ππ¦π’.
