This book was haunting and beautiful. I love CG Drews' writing so very much. I personally was not as invested in the characters as I had hoped however I did find them interesting. I loved the concept of the monsters springing to life from the characters' works, and that it showed how connected their writing and art is. The dark academia vibes (and I cannot stress enough that this is not actual dark academia) were really nice, and I loved the flow of the story.
