What You Do To Me
by Rochelle B. Weinstein
emotional
hopeful
sad
fast-paced
This novel was so good and I absolutely love that it was inspired by the great "Hey There Delilah" by the Plain White T's.
I loved the past and present timelines. In one we get to see Sara, a young Jewish girl that falls for Eddie (who isn't Jewish) where her family vacations every summer. They have to keep it a secret because of her strict mother. In the other one, we get Cecilia who writes for Rolling Stone and gets a clue to one of the greatest musical hits at the time and the muse who inspired it.
This was so heartwarming and tender though at times a bit sad. I felt so much for these characters and their different circumstances. I gasped often, I teared up often, and there were just so many emotions reading this. I will for a long time have "Hey There Delilah" playing in my head and I'm not mad about it. Make sure when you read this book, you read the forward by Tom Higgenson ♥️
