Foes & Cons by Carrie Aarons

Oh my gosh, this book had me hooked from the very first page! I had tears from the very first part! I picked it up when I was having trouble with the other book I was reading, and then I was sucked in! I read this book in less than a day. I started on my lunch break, and was done before I went to bed. I read during commercials while I watched tv, and went to bed early so I could just read until I was finished and still get to bed at a decent time for work the next morning.

This childhood best friends to enemies to lovers romance story really was just perfect. I loved both characters even if I hated how they handled their problems with each other. I think that Blair totally should have told Sawyer right away about the list that she found, but I kind of understand why she didn’t at that time. But since then, if I was her I would have tried at one of her family get-togethers when there weren’t other peers around for him to embarrass her in front of and that their parents might have controlled the possible rudeness or explosions that would or could have occurred.

I liked how it was handled when the truth about the list came out though too. I felt it was realistic. The final hurdle they had to jump might have come a little earlier than I expected, but that was because there was a smaller surprise hurdle, and I loved the way that was even handled, and how the characters, or we only really got Blair’s viewpoint for that one, thought about what she wanted to do, but figured out what really she should do.

If you can’t tell, I loved this book! So good, and I keep saying I need to read more by this author, and now I’m going to do my best to do that!
