paddlefoot55 's review for:
Mister Moneybags
by Penelope Ward, Vi Keeland
ARC received for an honest review
Woohoo another Ward/Keeland collaboration has hit my Kindle!
And as with the previous books from this duo, we are in for a fun ride.
What is it about elevators? Bianca and Dex meet in one and things are on a slippery slope from then on.
I loved the instant attraction between Bianca and Dex, but gah I wanted to slap some sense into Dex when he started the "Jay" stuff. I could understand why he did it to begin with, but then he kept on keeping on.Though I did laugh at it at times as he dug that hole deeper and deeper.
There was so much more to Bianca and Dex's story though, and as the story progressed I was kept on the edge of my seat (well, the edge of my couch that I was lazing on) needing to know that things would work out.
There is always that little surprise in a Ward/Keeland book, and whilst I thought "wow, they have sorted that out early this time!"... Nope! There was quite a few whoppers in this story - more than what I was expecting that's for sure. Sometimes it felt a little bit OTT, but that might just be me.
I dont' want to give anything away, so all I want to say is that I really wanted this couple to find their happy, but you will have to read it for yourself to find out if they do.
Can't wait to see what this duo brings us next.
