Pretty mediocre all around. I don’t expect them to get into everything Faust-y immediately, but there's only 6 issues, which is about 250 pages in total. But I don't really get any sense of plot from this first issue alone. Again, I know, first volume. But again, there's only about 200 pages left. It feels more like an introduction to the world and a few characters, but it's still very bare bones.

I think superhero is a weird direction to take Faust in in the first place, but I guess I'll keep reading to see where it goes. Hopefully the Brian Yuzna movie will be way better. 

Also, this is the first time I think I could genuinely describe an art style as "offensively bad"
The lettering isn't great either, especially the script where it becomes almost illegible at times.
