This one surprised me - at the start I was really not feeling it - I wanted to give up, but I was buddy reading with my friend and there were some characters that I did like - Nate, Henry, Robbie - but I was not a huge fan of Stassie at the beginning. It probably took me close to half way through before I really found myself enjoying this and then suddenly unable to put the book down.

I'm really glad I didn't give up and pushed through because the book really was something by the end. There is huge character development with Stassie, and there are some really great moments with her, Lola and the hockey boys. Henry is a huge favourite of mine - I hope he gets his own story. Nate was so adorable, such a sweetie and a great hero for this story.

In the end I really liked how things turned out, and thoroughly enjoyed the second half of this book. I would recommend, even if you're not a fan of the first part of the book. And I'd like to continue the series too.
