Never Leave the Dogs Behind: A Memoir
by Brianna Madia
Beautifully written, but I kind of wanted the memoir to be longer.
I feel weird telling someone how to talk about their trauma (who am I to determine how someone shares their story?) but this was surprisingly surface level for a memoir. It seems like a primer to a memoir - a lot was glossed over or alluded to, but never explored. I think the book would have benefited from more detail about her mental health diagnoses, the ED, what exactly happened with tht Reddit thread, and how she put herself back together after going through hell.
