Well this was definitely prophetic, written in 2018 this could have been a blueprint for the COVID pandemic (thank goodness that COVID, though horrible, is not quite as deadly as the fever described in these pages).
Overall I enjoyed the parts of this story that relayed Candaces life in New York, especially towards the end when she was alone. Some of the family history was a bit long winded for me. So all in all this is a 3.5 star read for me.
