I highly, highly recommend this book. I can't remember if it was suggested to me, or if I randomly found it somehow. I am glad that I ordered it and was able to read it, because I never knew what kind of medical experiments were done on African Americans. I knew that things of this nature were done to slaves, but this kind of stuff continued on well after then. I had absolutely no idea. I am ashamed of how little I know. This topic was never addressed in any of my years in school, and I think it is a topic that should be covered. People are so awful to other people. It's disgusting.
