Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep
4.0

Jennifer Estep makes a forage into teen lit with a novel that is part Lightning Thief and part I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You. Mythos Academy is a prep school for all the decedents of mythological warriors. Gwen is not a warrior, she is just and a gypsy who has special abilities to see people through the things they have touched. Gwen does not believe in myths. After the death of her mother Gwen is forced to attend Mythos by her psychic grandmother. When classmate Jasmine dies and no one mourns, Gwen decides it’s her job to figure out what really happened. As with many things in life, all is not as it appears. This is a fun read for anyone who likes mythology, but fair warning to guys; it does deal with girly concepts like boys and how to tell who likes who.
