Me and Earl and the Dying Girl
by Jesse Andrews
First, I would like to say that this book should never be compared to TFIOS. The only similarity is that there is a character with cancer. I love TFIOS, it's one of my faves, but Me and Earl and the Dying Girl is totally different.
I absolutely loved this book. I thought it would be sad and depressing and contemplative. It's not. It's a hilarious coming of age novel about a guy, Greg, who doesn't really know his place in the world and opts to just slowly move through life, trying his best to not care about anything. Andrews is a spectacular writer, and this novel is an absolute gem. Please read it. Seriously.
