Where the Crawdads Sing
by Delia Owens
Amazing. Beautiful. Thought provoking.
Where the Crawdads Sing lived up to the hype and it may become one of my top reads of the 2019. It will definitely be making it into my Five Star Favorites list.
Following Kya as she must fend for herself in the marsh of North Carolina made me feel so many things. Anger for her family leaving her at such a young age. Outrage at her classmates for treating her like the my did. Disbelief at how well she could survive on her own with the help of Jumpin’. Happiness when she learned how to read thanks to Tate.
I didn’t see the ending coming. If I’m being honest, I was convinced that someone else did it.
Well done Delia Owens. Well done.
