Leah on the Offbeat
by Becky Albertalli
i finished a book! in one sitting!
and i think i’ve never related to a character like this, like leah is literally me in a nutshell (even tho i’m the slightly lazier, softer version of her). the thing her mom said about her wanting things to always be perfect hits a little too close to home. i find it difficult to continue doing things or to commit to something when it has imperfections or to commit to a certain situation when i just don’t have the energy for it because committing to something is difficult and you’re bound to meet some disappointments.
it’s 4 am i wish i could write more good things about this book but my last one brain cell is almost dead and i have acid reflux so let’s just say that i love this book.
