Unseen Messages
by Pepper Winters
ARC received for an honest review
This ^^ up here is exactly how I feel after reading any Pepper Winters book. I swear she reaches in and rips my still beating heart out of my chest and stomps on it!
Unseen Messages is a deep, complex story about love, loss, hope. I was not exactly sure what to expect as I started reading, other than I was going to love every minute of it.
For about the first 60% of the book, I was engrossed, but I thought to myself "this isn't as dark as I was expecting from her" (even though I knew it wasn't going to be). Well, did this little black duck think too soon. Because just when I thought I knew what was happening

there was the gut wrenching, heart breaking moments I was expecting (don't get me wrong, some horrible sh!t happens before then, but boy oh boy things were taken up another notch around this part.
So remain seated, strap yourself in and get ready to be swept away and taken on an adventure of epic proportions.
Ms Winters is known for her dark stories, but she should step away more often, as if books like Unseen Messages are what she gives us, I want more.
