Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an audiobook of this title in exchange for a honest review.

As a true crime buff, I was excited to listen to this new book about the Murdaugh murders. I only started paying attention to this case almost at the end of the trial so I did not have much information until I saw the trial on TV and watched the Netflix documentary.

The book provides a history of the Murdaugh family in the Low Country. It provided a background to understand how Alex Murdaugh was a criminal well before the murders occurred.

What was disappointing in this book was some incorrect details regarding the night the murders occurred, which could influence others not familiar with the true details.

Overall, the book was interesting but not more informative than what you could get from the documentary or podcasts about the Murdaugh murders.

I truly feel sorry for the victims who died at the hands of the Murdaughs.
