I loved this first experience with Okorafor's writing! And I have Death of the Author already borrowed from the library. My heart broke for Sankofa numerous times as we followed her nomadic existence. She is remarkably resilient child, but every person has their breaking points. The science fiction elements are subtle, and they mix well with the discussions of myth, legend and superstition in this futuristic Ghana.
