This was a good read. The book takes a long time to get going, but once it's built up, everything is very fast-paced. The characters were nothing to write home about- most of them are plain and bland, which is likely intentional, but also doesn't particularly affect the book. The worldbuilding was minimal, but well done. This is definitely a good read if you're looking for something with a lot of action.
Graphic: Body horror, Cursing, Death, Gore, Violence, Blood, Murder
Moderate: Genocide, Forced institutionalization, Grief, Car accident, Death of parent, Fire/Fire injury
Minor: Genocide, Medical content, Mass/school shootings, Alcohol
