My dads been telling me to read this book for years and I’m glad I finally got around to it 😂 I loved the atmosphere of this story and the introduction to this world. It was really cool getting to see how many more modern vampire stories have been influenced by Rice’s portrayal of vampires. I also really loved the interview format and thought that was a great way to tell Louis’ story! My main issue was with the Claudia/Louis dynamic, it just weirder me out too much that I had a hard time enjoying it in many parts and I also just think Louis in general was a boring character 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am excited to read the Lestat books though because he was definitely the most interesting part of the story and watch the tv show!
