"The Planner and the Prince" by Maude Winters is a delightful romantic novel that combines several popular tropes, including enemies to lovers, small-town charm, royalty romance, the reverse grumpy/sunshine dynamic, and opposites attracting. The story revolves around Sanne Holmes-Nordgren, a skilled wedding planner in the Midwest, and Prince Paul, who is spending the summer with his brother and facing his own personal challenges.

Sanne's perfectly planned summer takes an unexpected turn when she is hired to organize a semi-royal wedding, and she finds herself face-to-face with Prince Paul, a member of the wedding party. Their initial encounters are marked by animosity as they clash over their differences and preconceived notions about each other. The tension between them is palpable, but so is the undeniable sexual chemistry.

The characters of Sanne and Paul are well-crafted, and their development throughout the story is engaging. Sanne's organized and structured life clashes with Paul's free-spirited and unconventional personality, setting the stage for a classic clash of opposites. As they continue to interact, the reader witnesses their growth and transformation, which adds depth to the story.

Winters skillfully weaves a tale of romance and self-discovery against the backdrop of a small town, creating a warm and inviting setting for the characters to evolve. The small-town atmosphere adds charm to the narrative and enhances the sense of community that plays a significant role in the plot.
The chemistry between Sanne and Paul is a highlight of the story, and their journey from adversaries to lovers is both believable and heartwarming. As they navigate their differences, readers will find themselves rooting for this couple to overcome their obstacles and find happiness together.
