I wasn’t familiar with John Paul Brammer’s work before this book, I didn’t even know he was an advice columnist, I just saw a gay Latinx author had written a series of essays and said “yes please.”

Overall this was good! I do not read any advice columns and I listened to the audiobook, so it was a little jarring to hear the author reference the question-asker in his essay, especially as the responses were so much bigger than the question that I forgot each essay initially started with a reader question.

For example, a question might be from someone named “Feeling Like an Imposter” and then the author would say, “The truth is, Imposter,…”

I think I’d officially rate this 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
