Binti is not a normal read for me. I don't read a lot of science fiction so this wasn't my favorite book although I do think the author did a fantastic job of building the world and her descriptions of Binti were great. I know this is a novella, but I feel that it could have been a bit longer to help with the story a bit. Everything seemed so tidy in a story about racial wars, and I really thought that could have been developed more. I do like how the author decided to write a sci-fi story about race. In my opinion, it makes the reader see things from a different perspective.

I do plan to continue the story at some point since I'd like to see what happens with Binti at Oomza Uni.
