The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn
4.0

Did a quick reread of this for steam stats (it's a 2).
I found Anthony actually super annoying this go around. He is just nasty in a number of interactions with poor Kate and for reasons I can't really understand or get behind. I also noticed a lot of him bashing people's intelligence around him, especially women and that was really annoying because he didn't come off to me as someone of astounding intelligence himself. But....but....the second of the book. It really does pull it together for me. I can't say I'm left super in love with Anthony, but he does improve, and there were a few scenes that did touch my heart. I would keep my rating as it is (though I try not to 'downgrade' my star ratings after rereads.)

Original review 6/19/19: Anthony Bridgerton is ready to turn in his rakish ways and choose a bride. He chooses the most desired of London this season, Edwina Sheffield. Unfortunately for him, her sister Kate is extremely protective and doesn’t want him anywhere near her.

This book takes on a loose enemies to lovers feel. Kate and Anthony bring out the worst in each other from their first meetings.

I felt this book was fairly light, funny, slightly annoying, sweet and a little ridiculous all at once. I did like the humor in it, and found myself smirking through many parts. Annoying because Anthony is such an a** through much of the beginning of the book. And while he does regret it, I felt I wanted more from his apology. Either way though, Kate seems to be the perfect match for him. She has no problems putting him in his place when he’s acting like this, and that I loved.

Overall enjoyed this book, but it wouldn’t necessarily be a reread for me. I am almost done with The Bridgerton series, which I’ve read completely out of order
