this was definitely a book ! idk man it was just so plain and simple it felt like middle grade (in a derogatory way). i think the only reason why it’s rated ya is because of the gore 🤨 but still ! just because a book is ya doesn’t mean the characters can’t have dimensions or that the book has to be simple 😞 L
