Thank you to Danielle Steel, Random House Publiship Group, and NetGalley for an ARC of Happiness in exchange for my honest review.
Sabrina Brooks, an author, who lives in the Berkshires with her two dogs, finds out that she has inherited an English estate from an uncle she never knew. Growing up, Sabrina did not know the experience of parental love with a distant father and being abandoned by her mother. Later on, Sabrina experiences two marriages, one to a man who used her to obtain a green card and one to an abusive man. However, Sabrina is content with her life and career until she meets Grayson Abbott, the estate attorney, who throws her into feelings she has never felt. Planning to sell the estate, will Grayson change her mind and be the love of her life?
Happiness is another great addition to Danielle Steel's catalog. There are some very intense topics dealing with parental relationships, marriages that have died, and whether to take a risk on someone who by all appearances seems unavailable.
I really enjoyed the characters of Sabrina and Grayson (along with the dogs!). I definitely would recommend this book to others and can not wait to read more of Danielle Steel's books.
