The Housemaid Is Watching
by Freida McFadden
Ok so here is my honest truth. Had this been my first Freida and I stuck to my 100 page rule I would have DNF'd this one.
The first 100 pages I struggled to get into, it was slow and repetitive. That being said I'm glad I didn't and stuck with it because I really enjoyed it.
This could be a standalone but I don't recommend skipping the first two as they were great.
Enzo lying felt unnecessary to me and added conflict where there didn't need to be in my opinion. I liked the twist and it made sense but I was really hoping it would have been something else that I can't say without a huge spoiler warning so I won't. Same vibes as the first 2, if you liked them you'll like this one.
