This book holds such a special place in my heart. Set in WW2 Germany and follows our main character Lesisl. An orphan girl, who moves to 33 Himmel street to live with her new foster parents, the Hubbermans. Every single character in this book honestly deserves to be treasured from cheeky little Rudy to stern but loving Rosa.

After re reading this book for like the millionth time, the ending still makes me tear up!
