paddlefoot55 's review for:
Second Chance Vow
by M. Robinson
ARC received from author for an honest review
If you have read my reviews, you will know that I wasn't a huge fan of Alpha CEO / Second Chance Contract and the main guy.
Knowing that he was part of the MC's lives in Second Chance Vow, I was cautious and a little wary of if I was going to like this one.
Never fear, I did enjoy Second Chance Vow a heck of a lot than the other book, and the A-hole CEO is a lot better when he is in this one).
I liked that we had our lovelies together from the time they first met, rather than having to meet up again as adults.
I liked seeing them go through adult problems rather than teen angsty issues. I liked that we were seeing a couple struggling and heading for divorce. Whilst at times I felt their arguments were due to not talking and listening to each other, they felt real and heartbreaking.
Though I did feel like the tension between Christian and Kinley's best friend was childish and I wanted both of then to grow the eff up. Like, I got it as teenagers, but man as adults you looked ridiculous.
But there is a rainbow after all the storms they have endured, and it put a big smile on my face as I was reading. I just wish they had gotten there earlier!
