This book was an entertaining and enjoyable story and I think the premise was unique. It was hard for me to tell the difference between Jarrell and Quadir at times but I think that is at least partly due to listening to the audiobook. I kind of wish I had read this book physically instead because I didn't like how the audiobook was set up. I really liked Jasmine as a character though. She was strong-willed and her need to bring justice to her brother's death was immense. I enjoyed Tiffany D. Jackson's writing and it really felt like I was in the 90's while listening to this book. Overall, I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as I wanted to, and sometimes I felt my attention slipping from the story, but I would still recommend this book to others and I'm still excited to read Tiffany's other novels.
