Strong opening. This story set up the characters and plot quickly. The romance was just meh.

I'm really glad the author let Rose see her revenge through and destroy Bael.

Errant 1 star

I was not expecting that man to throw the dog against the wall. ._. Anyway, this one didn't capture my attention because of too much bickering, judgment, and the overall unicorn business was boring.

At first, I thought the author was pairing up Gitta and Elise, then I thought maybe there would be no love interest— which turned out to be true. This only featured friendship and understanding.

Also, Bernard was gross.

The Spy Who Never Grew Up 2 stars

The spy angle was cool, but, at first, I was confused who was the focus of the story. I'm not interested in any romance between the grand-daughter of Wendy and a man-child (Peter Pan).

Dungeons of Langeais 1 star (not because it was bad, but I was so bored)

I struggled to keep my interest. I thought the main character was a werewolf/monster-like creature, but actually, he was just cursed by an angel.

Behind the Red Door 4 stars

I honestly wanted to hate this one so badly. It's not PC (politically correct), but all of the characters who are not Jo are interesting. Drew does sit a little far on the slimy scale tho. The plot twist was good because I wasn't expecting it. This kept my interest from page one.

"She wonders how the world ever fell apart with this much love in it" (pg 225).

Who would have thought nuns, zombies, and tough decisions would make such an excellent story? I loved it! I understood all the characters' motives and emotions very well. The sense of duty was a prevalent theme. I could see this happening so much

a girl falling in love and endangering the safety of her village unbeknownst of a zombie infection.

Slightly cheesy but I liked it despite the leads being in full-blown love after 2 days :p This gave me serious shoujo vibes.

Excellent story about a girl who literally feeds off fear. The villain was likable and her motives weren't honestly evil.

Too much girl-jealousy. Nick is treated like God's gift to women, but he's just terribly basic ... and ashy. All these long descriptions of how amazing and hot he is felt like self-insert fanservice.

Exceptional! Great narrative voice! This story is centered around music and a friend in love with their best friend.
