Vicious is a book that lived to every expectation. From page one I was wrapped up in this world filled with amazing characters and thrilling plot.

The standout from in this book was the characters. Victor and Eli carried every scene they were in and Schwab excellently conveyed their manic obsession over EO’s and the evil that lurked beneath them. The great thing about this book is it doesn’t show Victor to be good and Eli as evil, it’s more of a bad vs. worse situation. At its core it’s an excellent revenge story and it’s so well done.

Schwab also handled the time jumps in this book well. Going back and forth between the past and present helped keep me engaged and invested in the plot because I always wanted to know more about a particular detail or plot thread so there was always forward momentum.

My god this plot was so thrilling, I don’t want to say it was action-packed because so much happened that wasn’t action scenes, but everything in the book was so interesting. From Victor and Eli’s mad scientist experiments to Mitch’s backstory, I wanted to know more about every detail.

Overall: I loved this book so much, every character, every plot point, every page. I cannot wait for the sequel, I am so ready
