A really great book about motherhood. And not abut how wonderful it is either. This author, who lost her own mother at a relatively young age, never wanted to be a mother. It's hard to explain to someone what it's truly like to be a mother, both physically and mentally. I'm not generally a fan of books on motherhood because I find those authors paint the picture a little too rosy from my experience. What gets left out is the day to day "struggle" which is illustrated so perfectly I can't see a real mother not enjoying.

I obviously can only really recommend this book for mothers. More specifically mothers of young children. If you are anything other than this person - don't bother.
