If you are looking for a good romance, this is for you! I have been participating in the O.W.L’s readathon and for some reason decided to read all the huge books. My husband even asked if I was crazy. I am making my way through but desperately needed a break from fantasy reads! This is exactly what I needed!
The premise of this book sounds hilarious and really interesting! A bromance book club! You have all these powerful men who are reading romance novels to try and connect or re-connect with their wives/girlfriends. It’s such a fabulous concept. You also get snippets of the romance novel in this book. Can we count both books on Goodreads? HAHA. Jk!
I think what I liked was that both of them had to realize that relationships are not perfect. They had to both deal with things to move forward. They had to fix themselves before they could fix their relationship.
I also really enjoyed the feminist additions to this book. I like that Thea decided to take her life back and stop living for her husband. She has dreams and is making steps to pursue them.
I am typically not a bit romance reader but it seems I’m coming around.
