This is one of those books/series that has been on my TBR forever, but I just never got around to reading it. But recently, a friend started reading the series and stated that she was enjoying it and spurred me to move it up. I am so glad I did, I am loving this world! I love the main character, Merit. She's fierce and feisty and while she knows who she is and is comfortable with that, she's also willing to learn and grow. I'm equally fond of her bestie and her grandfather. Such good people. I'm excited to read more, I love how it's not just vampires in this world that Neill has created, but nymphs and shifters and sorcerers and more! The intricacies of the House System in the vampire world is very intriguing to me. I can't wait to read more and see how things play out after the events in this book.
