Escorting the Groom
by Leigh James
Mixed feelings on this one.
It had it's funny moments. I like the couple Lucas and Blake. Love the cross over of other characters from previous books. BUT it was difficult to see on book 4 that the acceptance, enabling, and forgiveness of toxic people continues. It's okay to forgive but seriously these toxic mfers aren't even changing for the best or trying to make amends. Not a spoiler for this book, but in a different one dude's parents kill his girlfriend and he manages to forgive them and let them around his babies. WHY?? Can someone ask Leigh James this? I don't need everything wrapped in a bow to have a HEA. But back to THIS book.
I was very excited that it was a marriage because I believe there are a lot of bought and paid for trophy wives in Hollywood, Pasadena, Scottsdale, NYC, Miami, and so fourth. I was totally in love with the wedding festivities. I smiled and laughed a lot reading this. And while every single book in this "series" can be read as a stand alone, I suggest reading them all as they are quick, hot, and funny.
