annieca 's review for:
Black Beauty
by Anna Sewell
I had to reread this book for a class and I was quick to realize why I read it in third grade. It's a really easy read.
And while I felt bad for Black Beauty, it also started to get annoying. It was like "Oh, this person's nice, this person's cruel. Oh, woe is me." I think that the balance was off. But... considering Sewell wrote it to change the treatment of animals, I guess she succeeded.
In the end, it was a "meh" book.
