Breakfast at Tiffany's
by Truman Capote
4 stars for “breakfast at tiffany’s”. with my limited knowledge of the movie, “breakfast at tiffany’s” was definitely not the romantic read i set out to pick up; my copy’s back cover states “one of the twentieth century’s most gorgeously romantic fictions”. hmph. holly golighty’s character resembled that of the “manic pixie daydream” trope. think “paper towns” but, not. the writing style was flowy, and i read the book in two sittings over one day.
the only one of the short stories i liked was the last one. the others, i did not as much.
